Menstrual Cramps Are Not Normal

Menstrual cramps are not normal and should not be considered as normal. During the bleeding period, it is common or physiological to perceive discomfort in the lower abdominal area, as a result of uterine contraction, responsible for the detachment and removal of the endometrium. Pain during menstruation is an alteration and is called dysmenorrhea. There are two types of dysmenorrhea, primary (in the absence of pathology) and secondary (as a result of a pathology) which will be discussed in this article.
